Who we are

Hi, I’m Dr. Charisma Houston — therapist, healer, and founder of The Charisma Collective Wellness Services.

I created this practice to hold space for deep, authentic healing — for individuals, families, and communities who deserve to be seen, nurtured, and empowered. My work is rooted in the belief that wellness is not a luxury; it is a birthright.

As a Black woman, clinician, and initiated practitioner of an African Traditional Religion (ATR), I know firsthand how systemic oppression, generational trauma, and daily stressors can erode our connection to self, spirit, and community.

I founded The Charisma Collective in 2021 to answer a calling: to offer culturally affirming, ancestral, and somatic-centered care that honors the full complexity of who we are.

The name “The Charisma Collective” carries a sacred meaning. It reflects not just my given name — Charisma, meaning divine gift — but also my core mission: to bring people together in a spirit of healing, softness, resilience, and joy. This is a collective space, where your story, your roots, and your future are honored.

My work is expanding.

Alongside the work as an LMFT, I am deepening my focus on sexuality, intimacy, embodiment, and pleasure. As a Pleasure Practitioner, I’m interested in the questions we don't always get the opportunity, or permission, to ask: What do I want? What feels good to me? How has culture, relationships, identity, and past experiences shaped the way I experience desire?

I’m currently completing advanced training in sex therapy and developing specialized sexuality and pleasure focused clinical services as part of The Charisma Collective.

Through therapy, workshops, and holistic offerings, I’m here to support you in reconnecting with your power, your peace, and your purpose — in your own time, and in your own way.

Remember, you are not alone in your journey. Welcome to the collective.
